Customs Rules

Import regulations::

Free import by non-residents older than 15 years (residents may import half the duty free quantities). If more is imported the whole quantity is dutiable:
1. 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars;
2. 1 litre of distilled beverages or 2.25 litres of wine or 3 litres beer;
3. gift articles up to a value of AWG 100.-.

Additional Information on regulations::

1. Perfume: no restrictions;
2. If the total value of the goods per passenger exceeds AWG 500.-, declaration should be made on customs forms and cleared at the freight department;
3. The importation of leather articles from Haiti is not advisable.

Export regulations::

Free export of any quantity of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages.

Crew members customs regulations::

1. 100 cigarettes or 13 cigars or 150 grams tobacco;
2. 1 litre wine and 1,5 litres beer.

Pets::

Cats, dogs, parrots and parakeets must be accompanied by a Veterinarian Good Health Certificate issued at point of origin not earlier than 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Dogs and cats need a Rabies Inoculation Certificate. The rabies vaccination should be given at least 30 days prior to arrival, but no longer than 1 year.
Dogs and cats younger than 4 months, are exempted of the rabies vaccination provided age and veterinarian statement is inserted on the Veterinarian Good Health Certificate that the pet is too young to be vaccinated.
Prohibited (also in transit):
1. dogs, cats and parrots from South America;
2. monkeys from the South-American continent.

Baggage Clearance regulations::

Baggage is cleared at the airport of Aruba, provided it is labeled accordingly.
Exempt:  



Airport Embarkation Tax

Passenger Facility Charge: USD 34.25 is levied on passengers embarking on Aruba for any destination.
Place of payment: if not included in the ticket, Passenger Facility Charge is paid at the check-in counter at airport of departure.
Exempt:
1. Children under 2 years;
2. Passengers transiting within 24 hours to a third country;
3. Crew members on duty.
