Customs Rules
Import regulations::
Free import by passengers of 18 years and over:
1. 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars and 1/4 kilo of tobacco,in opened packets;
2. 8 oz. of perfume;
3. 1 litre bottle of alcoholic liquor and 6 cans of beerfor non-Moslem passengers only;
4. gifts up to a maximum of BHD 250.- (approx. USD 600.-).
Import Permit required for methylated spirits, intoxicating drugs and jewellery.
Arms and Ammunition regulations::
Import Permit required for arms and ammunition.
Additional Information on regulations::
The transportation of arms, ammunition and all classes of explosives requires prior permission from the Ministry of he Interior and Civil Aviation Affairs of Bahrain.

Crew members customs regulations::
Are permitted:
1. 1 litre of alcoholic spirit and 6 cans of beer;
2. 200 cigarettes and 50 cigars;
3. other goods up to a value of BHD 250.- (approx. USD 600.-).
Pets::
Birds need a health certificate. However, a temporary ban has been imposed on the import of all kinds of live poultry and birds.
Cats and dogs from Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Comores Isl., Denmark, Djibouti, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland (Rep. of), Japan, Korea (Democratic People's Republic of), Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Qatar, Samoa, Samoa (American), Singapore, Solomon Isl., Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, U.S.A. and Virgin Isl. require health certificate and certificate from the competent authorities at origin stating that the animal is free from rabies. Although it is allowed to import pets from above countries, pets may be destroyed if carrying any kind of disease.
Pets may enter as passenger's checked baggage or as cargo. It is also permitted for small pets such as birds, cats and dogs to be carried in the cabin provided that they are carried in suitable cages, however, for larger dogs airlines are required to obtain prior permission from the civil aviation manager, airport operations.
Baggage Clearance regulations::
Baggage is cleared at the airport of Bahrain.
Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside Bahrain, provided it is labeled to that destination.
Airport Embarkation Tax
No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
