Customs Rules

Import regulations::

Free import by passengers of 18 years and over;

200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco tobacco;
1,5 liter of spirits or wine;
XCD 400.- for residents who have stayed abroad for more than 7 days.

1 quart of wine or spirits.

Crew members customs regulations::

Same regulations as for passengers apply.

Pets::

Cats and dogs must be accompanied by a veterinarian "good health and rabies inoculation" certificate, issued at point of origin, and an import permit from the Ministry of Agriculture. Advance notice to station manager on either St. Kitts or Nevis of the transporting airline is necessary, also in case of transit.

Baggage Clearance regulations::

Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry in St. Kitts and Nevis. This is also applicable to both passengers in transit to Nevis and to transit passengers with a destination outside of St. Kitts and Nevis who change carrier in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside of St. Kitts and Nevis if no change of carrier is involved in St. Kitts and Nevis.



Airport Embarkation Tax

No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.



Currency rules

Currency Import regulations:

Local currency: (East Caribbean Dollar-XCD); and foreign currency: unlimited, provided a declaration is made upon arrival.

Currency Export regulations:

Local currency: (East Caribbean Dollar-XCD); and foreign currency: up to the amounts imported and declared.
