Free import by tourists over 15 years of age;
100 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 100 grams of tobacco;
1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of spirits;
1/2 liter of eau de toilette and 1/4 liter of perfume.
For fruits and vegetable products a phytosanitary certificate is required.
Dogs and other domestic animals need a health certificate issued not later than 3 days before shipment stating that the animals originate from an area free from contagious diseases of the species for the preceding 6 weeks. In the case of dogs and cats, that no cases of rabies have been noticed for the same period. Pets may enter as passenger's checked baggage, in the cabin or as cargo. Required is an import license for such animals originating from countries other than Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Rep., Chad, Congo, Congo (Dem. Rep.), Cote d'Ivoire, France, French overseas departments, French overseas territories, Gabon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger or Senegal.
Baggage is cleared at the airport of entry in Togo.
Exempt: baggage of transit passengers, which is cleared at the airport of final destination in or outside of Togo if it is labeled to that destination.
No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
Local currency (CFA Franc-XOF); and foreign currencies: limited to XOF 3,000,000.-, provided declared on arrival.
Residents: local currency (CFA Franc-XOF): not exceeding XOF 3,000,000.-; foreign currencies: to destinations within the French monetary area: unlimited and outside the French monetary area: up to the equivalent of XOF 6,500,000.-.
For non-residents: local currency (CFA Franc-XOF): not exceeding XOF 3,000,000.-; foreign currencies: up to the amounts imported and declared.
