Customs

Import regulations:

Same regulations as France. Firearms must be declared on entry and on exit.

Pets:

Cats and dogs, if more than 6 months old: rabies vaccination certificate issued less than one year and more than one month before departure. Not required for animals less than 6 months old, they will be vaccinated in the country when they are 6 months.

Baggage Clearance regulations:

Baggage is cleared at Djibouti (JIB).
Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside Djibouti if the onward flight is on the same calendar day.


Currency

Currency Import regulations:

Local currency (Djibouti Franc-DJF) and foreign currencies: no restrictions. The country does not belong to the French Monetary Area. French banknotes and all foreign currencies may be negotiated.

Local currency (Djibouti Franc-DJF) and foreign currencies: no restrictions. The country does not belong to the French Monetary Area. French banknotes and all foreign currencies may be negotiated.


Airport Tax

No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
