Import regulations:

Free import:
a. for passengers of 17 years of age and older:
- 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos (cigars with a max. weight of 3 grams each) or 50 cigars or 200 grams of smoking tobacco;
- 1 liter of spirits or liquors; or
2 liters of fortified and sparkling wines and 2 liters of still wines (other than fortified wines);
- 50 milliliter of perfume or 25 milliliter of eau de toilette;
b. goods up to a value of max. GIP 32.-.

Those who regularly enter or return to Gibraltar (defined as more than once in any calendar month) are not entitled to duty free importation.


Cats and dogs may be imported only directly from the United Kingdom or via the UK from the Channel Is., Isle of Man or Ireland (Rep.) if at least 4 months of age and accompanied by:

a certificate from a veterinarian stating that they have been vaccinated against rabies not less than 28 days before importation and;

a certificate from the British Ministry of Agriculture stating that the animal has been resident for 6 months, or since birth, and that rabies has not existed in one of the areas mentioned above during the previous 12 months. The animals will be re-inoculated on arrival.

Baggage Clearance regulations:

Baggage is cleared at the airport of Gibraltar.

No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
