Import regulations:

Free import:
- 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars (only for passengers of 17 years of age and older);
- 40 oz. (1.14 liter) of alcoholic beverages (only for passengers of 17 years and older);
- approx. 6 ozs. (168 grams) of perfume;
- (only once per 12 months): gift articles valued up to XCD 250.-.


Cats and dogs must be accompanied by a veterinarian good health certificate issued at the point of origin.

Baggage Clearance regulations:

Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry, which is always in Antigua.

Exempt: baggage of transit passengers traveling within the same day onward tickets for a flight with LIAT (LI), Carib Express (IM) or British Airways (BA) to Montserrat, which is cleared at the airport of the final destination in Montserrat.


Currency Import regulations:

Local currency (East Caribbean Dollar-XCD) and foreign currencies: no restriction, provided declared on arrival.

Currency Export regulations:

Local currency (East Caribbean Dollar-XCD) and foreign currencies: up to the amounts imported and declared.

Airport Tax

No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
