Customs
Import regulations:
Free import by passengers over 20 years of age:
1. 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 1 lb. of tobacco;
2. a reasonable quantity of eau-de-toilette and perfume for personal use;
3. a reasonable quantity and amount of gifts.
Arms and Ammunition regulations:
Firearms require prior permission from the Ministry of Interior.
Wild Fauna and Flora:
The import of certain endangered species of plant, live animals and their products is prohibited or restricted under CITES.

Additional Information on regulations:
Meat and fish products require prior permission from the Ministry of Animal and Fish Resources.
Prohibited: alcoholic beverages; goods from Israel; blank pro-forma invoices; fruits and vegetables.
Crew members customs regulations:
Same regulations as for passengers apply.
Pets:
Cats and dogs: prior approval from the authorities required and:
- for pet originating from Sudan: animal passport and Health Declaration;
- for pets originating from other countries: certificate of origin and a veterinarian good health certificate issued in the country of origin. Both must be certified by an embassy of Sudan.
Birds: prior approval from the authorities and medical certificate required.
Birds: prior approval must be obtained from the authorities and they must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
Baggage Clearance regulations:
Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry in Sudan.
Currency
Currency Import regulations:
Local currency (Sudanese Pound-SDG): prohibited.
Foreign currencies: allowed. Amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- or equivalent must be declared.
Currency Export regulations:
Local currency (Sudanese Pound-SDG): prohibited.
Foreign currencies: allowed. Amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- or equivalent must be accompanied by import declaration.
Airport Tax
No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
